So why is everyone talking about Clawdbot? And is everyone buying Mac Minis?
Think of Clawdbot as an AI agent that works 24/7 for you, runs locally on your device, and all you need to do is manage it with your mobile device just like having an assistant that proactively works for you.
While I am yet to try it and build agentic systems that work for me 24/7, here is the promise of Clawdbot and some of the problems it’s solving compared to previous agent solutions. Here are some of my research findings.
Previous agents were semi-active, but Clawdbot is highly proactive it can run in the background actively doing your tasks 24/7. This is productivity on boost mode. I am personally eager to leverage it in a personal assistant app I am vibe coding. These agents will follow up and message on your behalf.
Clawdbot will integrate with most of your apps calendar, messaging apps, and more.
There’s also a reduction in cost. Clawdbot can run on your selected cloud server and local device, like an on-device model, and even on your Claude and ChatGPT subscriptions.
Since it can run on your device locally, everyone is rushing to buy Mac Minis since they can serve as a dedicated hub for your agent. But you can also run it on laptops, PCs, or even a Raspberry Pi. Most likely, Mac Mini and iMessage sync is easier, I need to check.( Do with caution )
Before, memory was a challenge. Clawdbot has improved memory, leverages skills, and can even create skills of its own to deliver better outcomes.
I need to experiment with this and see if it holds up to the promise. If it does, building agents that work 24/7 seems to be closer than ever.
Once i try it out, i’ll share
